After recognizing the immense value that police officers gain from completing motor school, we began exploring advanced motorcycle training options for civilian riders—only to find that they were extremely limited. While the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) provides excellent beginner and intermediate training, there was no civilian course that truly mirrored the advanced skills taught in police motorcycle programs. These techniques are not classified or restricted to law enforcement; they simply had never been incorporated into a structured civilian training program.

Seeing this gap, we sought input from police motorcycle officers and experienced instructors to develop a comprehensive training program. The response was overwhelmingly supportive—riders needed access to the same high-level training that police motor officers use daily. Not just low-speed maneuvering, but also crash avoidance, threshold braking, and real-world street survival skills.

With this vision in mind, we collaborated with motor officer instructors to create three challenging, rewarding, and highly effective courses for experienced riders looking to take their skills to the next level:

• Advanced Riders Course
• Precision & Control Course
• Defensive Riding Course

Since launching in Fall 2013, ProRider has expanded nationwide, providing riders with expert-level training that builds confidence, enhances safety, and maximizes riding potential.

Each ProRider Training Site operates independently but undergoes a rigorous approval process to meet the high standards we’ve established. While every instructor brings their unique experience and teaching style, all ProRider affiliates share the same commitment: delivering an exceptional training experience that empowers riders to sharpen their skills and ride with greater control, precision, and safety.
